Leila is also loving tummy time and is getting really strong! we are so proud of her! she has rolled over twice! however that was two weeks ago and she has decided not to try anymore! haha she has a lot of attitude!

This picture is Leila and Jackson! Jackson was born just 2 weeks before Leila and they love spending time together! (or at least their mommys do!) Jackson liked to hold onto Leila's shirt and as you can see Leila wasn't really loving it or the camera!

Volcano Leila

Today I took Leila back to the doctor... we go there a lot.. She has had a lot of problems with reflux so we had put her on zantac about 2 weeks ago. Today the doctor put her on prevacid to see if that will help. She spits up like a maniac! its not just the occasional spit up! its volcanos and it is all day long and I'm sure she could win a competition if there was one! my biggest fear is that she would volcano spit up in public and sure enough, what did she do in the foyer at church right after sacrament when it was packed!!!!?
yep, volcano spit up everywhere!!! I was so embarrassed and to my luck I was wearing black so it didn't show at all.. not! I was covered! but just in case I wasn't aware I had a few people inform me she was spitting up.. ha ha! I dashed to the mothers room as fast as I could! So little to say we are keeping our fingers crossed that the medicines helps, not just for my sack of course but for poor Leila who is in a lot of pain and who smells like rotten milk...

On the bright side, She is a healthy 10 pounds 9 ounces and the doctor said she looks great! I also found a baby picture of me and tell me who you think she looks like! because we have come to the conclusion she is definetly my daughter and we don't have to worry about her being switched in the hospital with some one elses baby! the picture on the left is me and the other two are of Leila.

Here it goes...

Well, I have been thinking about getting a blog for a couple of years now and just haven't done it.... cause I'm a little lazy... But I thought because we are far from family and friends and my dear husband keeps moving me a new state every 6 months I thought it would be a good way to keep in touch! So hopefully this will work out and I dont get to lazy and stop updating!

We are currently living in Woodbridge Virginia which is about 30 minutes outside of Washington D.C. It has been great to live back east and to get to see a whole different world than the west. Scooter ( AKA Derek) is working in Washington D.C. for the department of defense as an intern. He is gone a lot!! As for me, I am at home with our beautiful daughter Leila

(which is pronounced Lee-I-La) I know I know.. My dad informs me just about every day that i should not have named her that and that nobody will ever get it right! ha ha silly dad he is not very comforting.. But we like it and it is a family name which makes it more special! But if Leila is too hard to remember or pronounce you are more than welcome to call her Cheeks, which is the nickname my dad gave her. Even before she was born the people doing my ultrasounds would comment on her big cheeks.. they really aren't that big but so far the nickname is sticking to the dismay of scooter...
